The rest of the players have to react to this and try and grab the remaining spoons. The player with the four-of-a-kind must immediately grab the spoon in front of them. The player to the left follows this same set of rules, and cards are continually passed between players until someone gets four-of-a-kind. If the dealer decides to keep it, then they must select a card to discard, and pass that card to the player to their left. The dealer selects a card from the pile and decides whether to keep it or discard it by passing it to the player to the left. The aim of the game is to get four-of-a-kind. All players get four cards and the dealer puts the remaining cards in a pile to their right. Position all players around a table and lay the spoons out in the center of the table to create a wheel.
So if you have five players, grab four spoons. As the name suggests, you are going to head to the cutlery drawer and take out one less spoon than the number of players present. If you need a card game to whip out at a party that can get everyone involved and having a good time, try playing Spoons.
